TICH Consulting: Green Cube video consultations are here to stay

Since its launch in April 2020, nearly 31,000 medical appointments have already been made in both hospitals and medical centers.


It is one year since the appearance of the first cases of COVID-19 in Spain, and of the numerous and varied preventive measures to avoid the spread of the pandemic, such as home isolation, social distancing or restrictions on mobility. Many of the measures that began during the state of alarm have been maintained or reestablished in the successive waves of contagion. TICH Consulting reacted quickly to this crisis by developing in record time a video consultation system for Green Cube that went live in April allowing doctors to see their patients easily, closely and safely.


The healthcare technology company began developing this project before the pandemic broke out, with the idea of adapting its comprehensive healthcare management software to the current pace, exploiting the new possibilities offered by personal communication devices to provide a solution to the lack of time inherent in modern life and the need for regular, personalized care services. "We were looking to offer an efficient medical assistance solution for those patients who, not requiring a face-to-face follow-up, had problems attending their center either due to lack of time, distance or mobility limitations," explains Jaime Beltrán, Technical Director of TICH Consulting.


The video consultation project through Green Cube was designed to be a facilitating, efficient and quality care resource, as has been demonstrated by its practical application in more than 31,000 medical appointments over the last few months, in hospitals and medical centers, both in first and subsequent consultations, with their own agendas or coexisting with face-to-face appointments.


A key factor for the smooth running of the video consultation service has been to establish a fluid and clear communication with the patient by SMS and e-mail, which covers all the information related to the appointment, how to proceed when the consultation takes place, up to the reception of the clinical report with all the necessary guarantees to preserve the privacy of personal data.


Green Cube's video consultation service has been developed to be used on any device with Internet access (smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops), with camera and microphone, and for all currently available operating systems, without the need for the patient to purchase or download any App.
